Executive Summary

Off-shore Development Centers are virtual extensions of the partner's development teams and are equipped with 'ready to serve' resources. The Off-shore Development Center comprises of a Braahmam facility and staff dedicated to deliver partner's project requirements. The Center consists of a team of trained domain specialists/engineers and programmers operating out of Braahmam facilities in India, interacting closely with the partner's project teams. The ODC team can link up (if required) to partner's offices and machines via dedicated communication links and thereby works in the same IT environment as the partner's team.

Typical characteristics of an ODC include:
  • An Off-shore team and a small Onsite team or a PM as the case may be
  • Off-shore and onsite teams connected through high speed communication links (optional)
  • Dedicated facility at Braahmam's premises for ODC
  • Flexibility for quick ramp up and downsizing of team size based on quarterly staffing plan for the ODC
  • Multiple projects executed under an ODC

The Summary of ODC Setup Process

The following is a summary of the list of activities to make an ODC operational:

  • Review of the proposal & discussions on Braahmam ODC set up
  • Signing of the agreement for ODC set up
  • Identification of location for the ODC, currently NOIDA
  • Identification of the Partner Program Manager
  • Identification of the Braahmam ODC Manager
  • Procurement of customized Hardware & software and if required initiate action for transferof these from the partner
  • Identification and selection of Braahmam team & formation of the Braahmam core team
  • Visit of core team to the Partner Site, if required
  • Training / Know-how transfer and process definition at Partner Site including documentation of processes, if required.
  • Make changes in office structure to suit the Partner's needs, if required
  • Setup of the Hardware and Software
  • Setup of Communication Links
  • Training of the Braahmam ODC Off-shore team members, if required
  • Formation of full Braahmam team
  • Commence full operation of the Partner's ODC
Current Office at NOIDA

NOIDA is under the Delhi- NCR region, well connected by road, a few minutes drive from Central Delhi and 35 kms from Delhi Airport. The state government supports large IT investment and is stated on http://infotech.up.nic.in.

NOIDA has a large talent pool that it draws from Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ghaziabad – all adjoining cities of NOIDA. In August 2009 NOIDA will be connected with Metro rail system to Delhi and adjoining cities.

Support from Educational Institutes:

Most of the destinations mentioned above are well-supported by educational institutions that bring out MCAs (Master in Computer Applications), Graduate Engineers, Science Graduates and vocationally trained graduates in software applications. Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities have advantage at present due to higher availability and low remuneration requirements of skilled manpower.

Time to Operate

As a starting point, the time to operate in NOIDA would be a minimum of 30 days. During which Braahmam will ensure a team build-up plan, allocation of PM and implementation of Hardware, software and telecom environment desired.

To setup a complete new location in any of the other cities, the time to operate may range from 30 days to 90 days with gradual build up of team.

Legal and Statutory

Braahmam is already registered as a Private Limited company with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) in India since July 2000. Braahmam has complied will all the annual and quarterly returns to be filled with the ROC and Income Tax authorities.

No legal case has been ever filed or pending against Braahmam in any court.
